Only a ten-minute boat ride from Weno, the island home to a number of structures remaining from the Japanese occupation, such as the bunker shown. More traditional life styles remain here. Women from Tonoas are best known for their beautifully sewed local Mumu and the unique weaved crafts which they made. People from Tonoas commute the way to get to the market or to work for many via the family boat. Please ask to hotel for the tour information.
